I often use coloured gels or lights to create different colours of light on, around or behind a model. Recently I tried something a little different. My grand-daughter Zoe came to the studio together with Sapphire, Rachael and Sarah, and we did a fun shoot using disco lighting and laser lights. They danced to music by Abba, and I got behind the camera to try a variety of techniques. The images on this page are just a sample of some of the interesting effects we created. This is very much a work in progress, but I'm gradually improving the results.
I am going to host a few more of these fun parties, and am also planning a "Painting with Light" workshop where a model will be available for participating photographers to try out their skills with coloured lighting. Let me know if you are interested in participating.
